Diplom in Computer Science (March 2006) at the University of Kaiserslautern, followed by one year of studies at the 5th International PhD School in Formal Languages and Applications at URV Tarragona. Since March 2007 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter and PhD student at the Goethe University (Frankfurt am Main); first at the research group Programming Languages and Compilers (Prof. Dr. Detlef Wotschke), since October 2009 at the research group Theory of complex systems (Prof. Dr. Nicole Schweikardt).
PhD in Computer Science (defended June 2011, summa cum laude, nominated for the GI-Dissertationspreis 2011).
Research stays at the MPI für Informatik, Algorithms and Complexity group (from July to September 2011), and at Loughborough University (December 2008, September 2009).
