DEIS'10 is aimed at advanced doctoral students,
postdoctoral researchers, and junior industrial researchers.
Specialized knowledge of the topics of the Advanced School is not required.
The main criterion for selection with be a solid background on the principles and practice
of database systems, and demonstrated research potential.
Interested parties are asked to submit an application consisting of
a letter of interest,
a curriculum vitae,
up to three representative papers or theses (co-)authored by the applicant,
a letter of recommendation from an academic supervisor or other senior colleague.

Attendance at the seminar, including accomodation and full board at Schloss Dagstuhl costs 40 Euros per
person per day.
We have raised funding to provide moderate financial support for
a number of DEIS'10 participants.
The request for financial support (travel grant, attendance grant, or
both) should be included in the letter of interest.
